Balayage - a French word for sweep or paint. This timeless and freehand colouring technique can be tailored for working professionals, creating a well-blended natural look with minimal harsh or demarcation lines. Couple this with shadow roots (i.e. darker roots) and melted hair colouring technique (gradual blending of colours from dark to light), one can reduce the need for frequent root retouch too!

If Balayage is still too flashy for your liking, opt for Faux Babylights instead. Babylights are very fine and subtle highlights that are meant to look like the natural hair color of Caucasian children.
