Colouring your hair with crazy bright hues isn't exactly a new trend or phenomenon. Celebs like Katy Perry, Keisha, Rita Ora, and Kylie Jenner have been doing it for years. Even hunks are getting on the fun - Zayn Malik tested green, purple, and white on his crew cut - all within one week.

By now, you probably thought you'd seen it all when it comes to unnatural hair colours, but a new take on the trend brings prismatic-coloured manes to new heights. The best part is it takes direct inspiration from one of our favourite childhood pastimes: sand art. It's not hard to see why the trend is suddenly lighting up on many social media platforms; especially when it's popularized by Korean Style Icon - Irene Kim.

Tips: Always opt for bold colours. As, these colours will eventually fade to become everyone's favourite - pastel hues. It's much economical this way. Also, do apply a hair mask or conditioner on your hair before using shampoo to wash your hair. This way, it will better prolong your hair colours. That said, always be prepared that fashion shades tend to fade much faster compared to basic colours.
