Chez Vous 20th Anniversary 20 Lookbook Challenge #2: Emille
Chez Vous Ikebana Colour Series 2016
DESIGNER: ASSOCIATE SALON DIRECTOR, VEYOND CHONG
MODEL: EMILLE
TECHNIQUE: NATURAL IKEBANA COLOUR SERIES 2016 - ECAILLE
Inspired by the Japanese art of flower arrangement, Chez Vous's Ikebana collection explores the use of complementary hair colours to naturally blend out an everyday wear look that is effortless, soft and graceful, suited for every profession and age group. Every arrangement in itself is a classic and enduring piece of art.
Similar to the Japanese art of floral arrangement, the essence behind this collection is to accentuate the overall beauty of the wearer by skillfully blending every piece and strand of hair with harmonizing colour combinations to form a gradually dyed floral arrangement; instead of having individual streaks or patches of colour(s) that steal the attention away from the wearer.
Through the brilliant execution of traditional weave and slice techniques, intertwine with the current ecaille colouring method; hair is brought to life with greater depth, texture and dimension; alike to a flower blooming into life.
After every wash, the wearer's hair colour will unfold over time, blending the new colour with the old - resembling a flower lie story; where every stage is a beautiful episode by itself.
BEFORE & AFTER
INFORMATION
CONSULTATION
Emille, an NUS undergraduate, has always sported a basic one tone hair colour. She would love to try out something exciting yet subtle; without "screaming" for unnecessary attention. Also, she would prefer if the hair colour does not require regular touch-up due to her busy schedule.
Using Chez Vous Ikebana Colouring Technique, Associate Salon Director, Veyond Chong chose a natural shade intertwine with babylights for her crown area to reduce the need for frequent roots retouch. Also, to accentuate the beauty of the wearer, Veyond carefully blend every piece and strand of hair with harmonizing shades of brown to form a gradual tone without stealing the attention away from the wearer. This cross breed between traditional highlight and Ecaille will ensure that even after the colour fades, the will be zero demarcation lines; thus reducing the need for a new colour service within the next 3 to 4 months.
BEHIND THE SCENES
EPILOGUE
Deliberately created for working professionals who want to sport a creative hair colour yet unable to do so due to their profession. Chez Vous Ikebana Hair Colour Series 2016 minimises the drastic ombre effect and replace them with natural looking sunkissed Ecaille highlights to give a more subtle finish. The colours chosen for 2016 are less contrasting and muted, creating the perfect yet unconventional look for today's working professionals.
Love,
Veyond Chong
