Dreaming of K-pop worthy sleek, flowing curls? Check out Chez Vous's Amplified Treatment Perm, designed and formulated by Associate Salon Director, Veyond Chong. This service was recently awarded the "Best Retexturizing Experience" by Harper's Bazaar 2015 Hair Awards.

The service starts with a wash and massage to ensure hair is cleansed and prepped for the subsequent steps. A layer of premium pre-treatment lotion is then lathered onto your tresses to provide the protection your tresses need, and to ready it for subsequent chemical treatments. This is followed by a half head permanent straightening treatment at the crown area to smooth out unnecessary frizz without flattening the hair, for easy styling and manageability back home. After that, a treatment-grade cold perm will be selectively and precisely applied to the hair ends to sculpt the lush, soft curls that are all the rage now. Lastly, as a fitting finale, your crowning glory is treated to luxurious moisture packed mask, to ensure that every strand of hair enriched and lustrous for maximum shine.

STYLING TIPS

Step 1: Blow dry roots only.

Step 2: Dispense KMS Curl Up (20 cents size) on one palm and use the other to give it a good rub. This will avoid excessive application on a single spot.

Step 3: Focusing on mid to lower hair ends, apply KMS Curl Up on towel-dried hair. Apply evenly.

Step 4: Section hair into half, twist them and leave it to air dry.

Step 5: When hair is air dried, separate them into smaller sections.

Note: Avoid using your fingers to run through hair throughout the day to prevent frizz.

HOMECARE TIPS

Always remember to strengthen your hair frequently after any perm services. Our top favorite is none other than Redken Extreme CAT, a protein reconstructing hair treatment. Use it thrice a week and you will have stronger hair within 2 months. This product will also prep your hair for following perm services you might want to have in the next 1 year. You will need healthy and strong hair to achieve nice looking curls.

Shampoo, towel dry, followed by Redken Extreme CAT Leave on for 10 – 15 minutes, rinse off and follow with a conditioner. Do note that the CAT treatment is primarily for strengthening; not moisturizing. Hence, it cannot replace your conditioner. In fact, one might feel that hair is a little coarse upon application, but that’s normal.

Veyond might be excellent with perm and colour but don't expect her to perform miracles! If the hair condition is not strong enough for chemical work, Veyond would strongly advise you against the hair service and propose a less-damaging alternative.
