Through this piece of work, I am hoping that more women too can accept creative haircuts." Salon Director, Barry Lim.

A modern-day interpretation of a classic Bob haircut; worn 2-ways - straight and curl. This piece of Art, created by Salon Director, Barry Lim, aims to push the envelope in designing a creative haircut that is unique; yet wearable and can be widely accepted.

This multifaceted hairstyle is deliberately made to look like a forward layering shoulder-length haircut from the front; a creative graduated Lob (Long Bob) from the side; and a classic A-line Bob from the back. How it is interpreted, it is up to the viewer.

Harmonizing three different styles into one is highly technical and advance. It requires both precision and experience to ensure perfect blending from the back of the hair to the drastic increase in fringe length. The weight distribution has to be flawless so that there won't be any disconnection; otherwise it will look like an unfinished piece of work. Moreover, to ensure that the hairstyle is both creative and wearable, the angle of the gradation has to be well-balanced.

Is long and luscious hair still the "only" definition of feminity? When you say 'woman', does long hair inevitably come into your mind?

Nope! Short to mid-length hair can look any way you wish, from professional to wild, to chic or sophisticated; at the hands of an experienced stylist. It also gives people the impression that the woman is probably free spirited, fresh and fun to be around, but very confident, strong and even sexy.

Chopping off one's locks have more than just trying to be fashionably cool. It has a hidden subliminal meaning & message behind - empowerment, liberated and strong. If you're worried about chopping your hair off. Fret not. It is reversible; hair does grow back. If patience is not your thing, you can always opt for a chic mid-length hairstyle such as Lob.
